Argan oil, the way we see it
Share
Argan oil gets called a lot of things, including a few it never asked to be. We would rather tell you the version we believe in, because a product you understand is one you will actually reach for. So here is how we think about Argan oil at Raffinée, and why we talk about it the way we do.
A nourishing oil, first and foremost
Argan oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. That makes it a real workhorse for nourishment, for supporting the skin's natural barrier, and for that soft, conditioned feeling after it sinks in. It is light enough for most skin types, including sensitive skin, and a few drops go a long way. As a daily moisturiser and as the final step after the hammam ritual, it earns its place easily.
Why we keep it simple
You will see Argan oil described everywhere as a fix for almost everything. Our instinct is to say a little less and mean it. Skincare is personal, results vary from one person to the next, and we would rather you came to trust Argan oil through using it than through us promising you the world. We think you can tell when a brand is overselling — and we would rather earn your trust than spend it.
How we'd use it
Warm two or three drops between your palms and press them into clean, slightly damp skin, morning or night. After exfoliating, it is the perfect seal. A little on the ends of the hair does no harm either. Simple, consistent, unglamorous in the best way.
That is Argan oil as we see it. Lovely, useful, and honest about itself.
