From the City of Roses to Aberdeen

Every bottle and every bar we sell has travelled a long way to reach you, from the south of Morocco to the north-east of Scotland. This is the story of how, and of the two people at the heart of it.
A mother and a daughter
Raffinée is a mother-and-daughter company, and it began — as so many good things do — with a conversation between a mother and her daughter. Najoua was at a turning point in her life, ready for a change, and it was her own mother who gave her the confidence to go for it: to take the rituals she had grown up with and build something of her own around them. Rita backed her from the very first day — her mother's cheerleader, and a steady pair of hands on the practical side of the business. So when we say Raffinée is a family company, we mean it three generations deep. This is not a brand that bought a tradition. It inherited one — from mother to daughter, and now to a daughter again.
From the City of Roses
Our products are sourced from Kaalat M'Gouna, Morocco's City of Roses, set in the Atlas Mountains in the south of the country. It is a place built around growing, harvesting and patience — every spring it gives itself over to the rose harvest, and that unhurried, seasonal spirit runs through everything that comes from it. When we say our skincare is inspired by ancient Moroccan rituals, we mean a specific place and a specific lineage, not a vague idea of somewhere far away.
It matters to us that you know where things come from. The Argan, the olives pressed for our Black Soap, the herbs we steep — these are not abstract ingredients. They grow in real soil, under a particular sun, tended by people who have done it for generations.
Why Aberdeen
And then there is here. Aberdeen, in the north-east of Scotland, a long way in every sense from the Atlas Mountains. There is something we rather love about that distance: a warm Moroccan ritual carried into a cold northern bathroom, heritage and home meeting in the same small daily act of care. That meeting is the whole idea of Raffinée.
Two women, two countries, one ritual. We are glad you are part of it.
